Rural eDUCATION Support Program
Develop Rural Students to Meet Current Career Challenges (DRSM3C)

We SMeT trustees have vast working experience in different industrial sectors both in India and abroad. We decided to give something back to the society and selected Rural Student development program to meet current day’s career challenges. We are planning to implement this program in phased manner.

  1. Financial assistance to 9th and 10th standard low income and high merit students
  2. Material assistance in the form of Books, uniform, instrument box and other accessories required by the individual student.
  3. Educational assistance in the form of remote education through satellite, TV, computer CD/DVD and coaching from experienced dedicated staffs in the school premises or SMeT local center.
  4. Enhance ethical values among rural students

SMeDUTrust Key Members:

Mr.Manjunath .M.S Manjunath has been working with social reforms since 1990. He is associated very closely with organization like “Rishi Samskriti Vidya” Kendra and others. He has conducted many programs on meditation and Yoga including programs like “Keep your town clean”. He has also arranged programs for personality development of children’s and individuals. His interest is to develop ethical value in children and enjoy the advantage of same in day to day life

Mr.Ramachandra Murthy .R Ramachnadra has been involved in social service activities like assisting and arranging blood donation camps, helping orphanages & old age homes, gathering resources to assist people in distress by natural calamities. Also he has been nurturing a keen interest to support especially rural students to hone their skills which will enable them to jump towards newer horizons in their desired interest for a bright future.

Mr.Somashekar .S Somashekar has initiated SM education trust and he has organized number of healthcare events for different age groups. He is working on indoor and outdoor security for senior citizens and developing wireless products to make their life easy. His areas of interests are rural education support using latest technology, healthcare support for under privileged people and security / safety concerns of senior citizens.

Latest News & Announcements 1) August - Rechargeable lanterns were donated to all the trust beneficiary students.
2) September - Writing desks were presented to students
3) All 84 students of our trust passed with high percentages.
4) For the first time five (5) students secured distinction.
5) In the current year, 2014-15, Eighty five (85) students are selected by the trust.
6) 8 High schools from Magadi Taluk are the beneficiaries.
7) June – Note books, pens, pencils, eraser, sharpener, backpack and school fees are distributed.
8) More than 230 students have been supported by the trust in last three (3) years.
